The above premiums are based on a $200 deductible, 10% co-insurance, and a maximum annual benefit of $30,000.

The basic benefits for the policies listed above are all similar. We recommend looking carefully into the specific pet insurance plan that you are thinking of and make sure it covers what you are looking for before settling down with one plan. Basic benefits for policies are often very similar although every plan differs in a variety of ways i.e. 1.) waiting period, 2.) dental benefits (accident only or accident/illness), 3.) benefits for veterinary examinations, 4.) benefits for behavior (the annual deductible vs per-incidence deductible).

All Policies shown above utilize risk-sharing with the purchaser in the form or annual or per-incident deductibles and co-insurance. All have unlimited annual limits except for Embrace, ASPCA, and Nationwide Whole Pet.  All carriers will allow the pet owner to select either a lower annual limit, a larger deductible, a large co-pay or combinations of the three to assume a greater percentage of the risk and lower their monthly premiums.

Insurance carriers are constantly adjusting premiums based on actuarial data, the accuracy of the premiums shown above is not guaranteed. There are more carriers than what we have listed above as well, another reason why we recommend you look into plans before settling with one. We will try and update when able but strongly urge you all to look it up to your specific needs\wants\animals. You can easily go to the website for each insurance company and enter in the information on your animal and see what the costs are for the plans you are looking into. Most companies give you options on the amount of deductible you want, percentage you can get back, annual benefits, etc.
