Our Staff

Chris, Vet Assistant:

My duties include caring for patients, educating pet owners, and maintaining the building. I am a Luxemburg Casco High School graduate. I graduated from UWGB with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science. I later took elementary education classes. While a student, I worked at the UWGB Herbarium. March of 2001 is when I started working at Luxemburg Pet Clinic. I enjoy bringing my personal experiences and love of pets to my job. Being open to learning new information and experiences has helped my job satisfaction and retention. I enjoy being outdoors-hiking, birdwatching, and snowshoeing. I also enjoy curling up with a good mystery and a glass of wine.

 Sonja Sanford Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Hello! My job duties range here at Luxemburg Pet Clinic. I schedule appointments, talk with a lot of you about your pets, help the doctor in surgery and every day appointments. I also handle some of the business aspects here like ordering the supplies needed for your pets to keep them happy and healthy. I have worked in the animal industry for 5-6 years now as a groomer, kennel manager, and now here at the clinic. I used to work at our Sturgeon Bay location but I had moved back home where I am building my home and life back with my boyfriend. In my free time I love to take walks, go on hikes, horse back ride, and spend time with my family and friends. I love meeting with new clients and meeting new animals. Everyone animal has different personalities and that is one thing that makes it interesting, let alone fun!

Emily Rass, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Emily and I am a full time assistant here at Luxemburg Pet Clinic. I also work at the Door County location. My job description here as an assistant is to help the Dr. get medications ready, I help in surgeries, vaccinations, and client information. Outside of work I enjoy to spend time trail riding and training my horse, pictured with me, Maverick, for shows while my dog Zoey runs with us. I also enjoy to give riding lessons when able on the weekends or week nights when time allows me to do so.
